We do have harnesses and lanyards available for you to hire with your MEWPs. It may not be a legal requirement to wear a harness at a height, but we strongly recommend them.
Do I need to have a licence/certificate to use the equipment?
If you are a private hirer and are using the equipment on private property, no license/certificate is required. Trade users might need a license/certificate if working on site.
How much is the average MEWP hire cost?
MEWPs are often hired out on a weekly hire rate, but we offer long term hire.
The cost of hiring a powered access lift platform will depend on several factors such as:
1. The height you need to work at

How long does a battery last on an Electric Machine?
You should get a full day’s use from an electric scissor lift or self-propelled boom. Generally, though, you will get around 2-3 hours of continuous use, however this is prolonged by charging on breaks and turning the equipment off once in position.
Do I need any charging leads or transformer?
You will need a transformer and lead to charge any electric machines.
Who is responsible for the equipment when I off hire it?
You are responsible for the machine until it has been collected and must ensure it is immobilised and stored securely.
